Environmental Responsibility

Environmental issues have always been in the forefront of the design and construction of 2030 North Pacific. Aside from the obvious benefit of less automobile usage and pollution due to the proximity to work and entertainment, 2030 North Pacific offers a variety of other green building design elements:

Designed to meet the City of Santa Cruz’ Green Building Award standards
Superior European style high-efficiency central radiant heating provides quiet warmth while reducing natural gas consumption
High efficiency central domestic hot water system sharply reduces energy usage
The use of bamboo flooring, which is an easily renewable resource
Upgraded and fully insulated exterior walls and extra sound deadening materials between floors and homes to reduce noise and heat transmission

Fiberglass insulated front doors and double paned and sound rated windows to reduce energy loss and sound transmission
Extensive use of recycled building products including carpets and concrete and comprehensive recycling of building waste during construction
Use of low volatile release paints
